ABOUT
LOU PALMER is an East London based songwriter and singer and the former front woman of Britpop band Honeytunnel and noughties indie artists Loopjoy.
She performs and records as an Americana artist and her most recent solo project features Sean Read (Rockingbirds, The Pretenders, Dexys, Edwyn Collins), James Walbourne (The Rails, The Pretenders) and Carwyn Ellis (Rio 18, Colorama, Edwyn Collins, Paul Winterhart (Black Casino and The Ghost, Kula Shaker) and legendary pedal steel player BJ Cole (First Aid Kit, REM, Jimmy Webb).
Recent releases include a cover of Scott Walkers Nite Flites with Welsh band Sendeca, an album of covers with Swordfish and a collaborative electro project with Marc Slade.
She appears as a featured vocalist with various electro, drum & bass and trance artists including Astralasia, who she currently fronts live at festivals around the country. She’s had releases with artists including Children of Dub, Salt Tank and Under The Honeytunnel. She provides session vocals for artists from EDM to pop and country and performs solo and private gigs covering genres as diverse as jazz, swing and the American Songbook.
